PENTINGKAH DIAGNOSIS KESULITAN BELAJAR PADA SISWA SEKOLAH?
Abstract
Learning difficulties are common problems encountered among students and can affect both their academic achievements and psychosocial development. This study aims to examine the importance of early diagnosis of learning difficulties to enhance the effectiveness of learning and support students' holistic development. The research was conducted through a literature review, analyzing various factors that cause learning difficulties, including internal factors such as cognitive disorders such as dyslexia and ADHD, emotional factors such as anxiety and stress, and external factors, including socio-economic conditions, unsupportive learning environments, and suboptimal parenting patterns. The diagnostic methods used in identifying learning difficulties include classroom observation, interviews with parents and students, and psycho-pedagogical assessments. The findings of the study show that timely and accurate diagnosis is crucial for designing appropriate interventions, which may include individualized teaching strategies, psychological support, and the use of relevant educational technology. Early diagnosis of learning difficulties allows educators to intervene more quickly, thus preventing prolonged learning difficulties that may adversely affect students' academic performance. The study also reveals that through collaboration between teachers, parents, and experts such as psychologists or school counselors, schools can provide more comprehensive support for students facing learning difficulties. The implications of this research emphasize the need for implementing early detection systems in schools to minimize the negative impacts of learning difficulties and create an inclusive, responsive learning environment that supports students' emotional and academic development in a balanced manner.
