ANALISIS FAKTOR PENGHAMBAT KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS I MIN 4 KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Children's reading skills are one of the basic skills that must be possessed to develop children's language aspects. Based on the results of observations at MIN 27 Aceh Besar, children's reading skills, especially in learning Indonesian, are not good in terms of: recognizing letters, reading meaningful words, reading fluency and reading comprehension and listening. These indicators are of particular concern to teachers to develop children's reading skills. So this study aims to determine the factors that inhibit early reading skills in grade I students at MIN 4 Aceh Besar. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interview sheets and documentation. Data analysis techniques used Miles and Huberman which used three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The subjects of the study were 16 students and 1 teacher in grade I. The results of the study showed that children's reading skills were influenced by three factors, namely family factors, environmental factors and psychological factors. The solution that researchers can provide is that teachers must use appropriate, creative and innovative methods when making teaching materials, especially for early reading skills of lower grade students. In addition, parents must encourage their children to read, especially at home.
